| Amarillo, located in the High Plains
of the Texas Panhandle was founded in 1887, and became an incorporated city
in 1889. According to the 2000 Census, Amarillo is the 14th largest city
in Texas with a population of 173,627, with an average of a 1% increase
each year and is an important developing metropolitan center of the southwest.
The City currently employs more than 2,000 people. |
