Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis

Reason for PowerPlan Implementation
Originally PowerPlan was selected to support the development of a five-year financial plan. Once the five-year plan was completed, Catholic Charities made the decision to use PowerPlan throughout the agency, for financial reporting, monthly variance analysis, forecasting, and annual budgeting.
Previous Operations
On an organizational level, Catholic Charities lacked the capacity to construct a monthly detail forecast or support an efficient annual budget process.
Post PowerPlan Benefits
Accounting services have eliminated paper reports by delivering monthly financial statements directly to the desktop of the users. Simple account inquires have been reduced 80-90% since users have drill down capabilities to the transaction level. Managers have the ability to easily update their forecast each month based on current data.
Software Access and Organization Penetration
All cost center managers have access to PowerPlan and it is constantly used as the prime financial reporting tool. A corporate license which allows for an unlimited number of users.
